Direct Commission as an Officer (For Doctors, Dentists, and PA/NP) Rank dependent upon education and experience.
Doctors & Dentists commission as CPT (minimum) PA/NP typically commission as 1LT.
Must meet moral/legal and physical/age standards.

Available Benefits:
Student Loan Repayment: $50,000 upon completion of Initial Training
Annual Bonus: $25,000 for Docs/Dentists or $20,000 for PA/NP
Federal Tuition Assistance: $4,500 annually for additional schooling, $2,500 for Continuing Medical Education annually
Flexible Training Policy to ease monthly drilling into civilian schedule.

Training Requirements:
Upon commission, complete AMEDD BOLC, a 28 day introductory course at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. http://www.cs.amedd.army.mil/obc/1RCOBLC.htm
Drill one weekend a month and two weeks each year.

Direct Commission as a Full-Time Student
Have bachelors degree and acceptance letter to Medical, Dental or PA program
Must meet moral/legal and physical/age standards
Commissioned as Medical Service 2LT
Promotion and transfer to respective branch upon graduation

Available Benefits:
Up to $3,800/month while in school
Free health/dental insurance through TRICARE program
Federal Tuition Assistance: $4,500 annually
Student Loan Repayment: $50,000 upon graduation
Non-deployable until you graduate your program, to include residency Annual Bonus: $25,000 Docs/Dentists or $20,000
Pas after graduation
