Directs rehabilitation therapy services and programs to deliver high quality, cost effective care to support strategic and business goals and achieve service excellence.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy (P.T.) or Occupational Therapy (O.T.)curriculum with a Bachelor´s degree or certificate in physical or occupational therapy required. California State P.T. registration or O.T. National certification. Significant management experience (generally four (4) to five (5) years) in a clinical rehabilitation therapy setting. Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in program management development, evaluation , staffing, budgeting, personnel management, coaching/counseling. Master´s degree in a related field preferred. Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to customers, contracted providers, and vendors.
Duties: Directs rehabilitation therapy services and programs to deliver high quality, cost effective care to support strategic and business goals and achieve service excellence. Develops programs to meet current and future needs. Reviews service performance, effects changes as needed to improve services and ensure compliance with regulator requirements. Develops systems, methods and processes to evaluate, measure and improve clinical, business, cost/financial and quality outcomes. Develops service plan goals and objectives, establishes and implements policies and procedures for operations. Hires, trains and manages clinical and non clinical personnel. Develops standards of behavioral performance and clinical competencies, and evaluates personnel based on established standards. Creates, analyzes and maintains reports and statistics for administrative and regulator purposes. Develops and recommends service operating and capital budgets, and ensures that the services operate within the allocated funds. Has authority for budgetary expenditures. Identifies and responds to member needs and manages resources to meet these needs. Develops and implements performance improvement programs. Monitors and assesses program and reports to Quality Management. Establishes and maintains communication with multiple departments. Develops relationships with academic programs, the community, and other groups. May provide direct patient care services as needed. Ensures on going professional development for self, clinical staff, support staff, and student affiliates. Establishes a work environment which communicates and supports tam performance and organizational goals and vision. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente´s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente´s policies and procedures.
