Exciting opportunity in beautiful Alaska for an experienced HIM director
The Position
Report to the CFO and be responsible for the overall operations of coding & HIM with over 100 FTEs
Mentor supervisors and monitor productivity of the department as a whole to assess potential areas for improvement
Build strong relationships with a group of hospital employed physicians at the acute care facility and several hospital clinics
Plan for the implementation of a new EHR in 2010 and guide the organization through that process

Full-service emergency department certified as the only Level II Trauma Center in the state of Alaska.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will be RHIA or RHIT certified and Bachelors prepared with previous management experience
