Director of Pediatric Emergency Program
Reports to Chair, Dept. of Emergency Medicine
Completion of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Emergency Medicine primary training preferred, but Pediatrics acceptable
Clinical (30 hr weekly) and administrative responsibility ( 8 hr weekly) for evening pediatric service 18 20,000 annual visits
Develop policy and procedure for service
Liaison with Dept. of Pediatrics
Review quality of care for pediatric emergency patients
Provide pediatric specific oversight and training for physician and nursing staff
Candidate with Emergency Medicine background would have opportunity to cover shifts in main ED if desired as well as Pediatric service
