DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Project Manager in the development, modification, implementation, and maintenance of E clinical systems and modules. Conducts hardware evaluation and implementation as needed. Loads software and operating systems patches as needed. Evaluates software needs and makes recommendations for purchase on an ongoing basis. Designs and creates new screens as necessary. Documents significant system changes.
Assists Project Manager in the analysis of requested modification to eClinical system. Makes eClinical system parameter/profile changes as requested by end users and in accordance with change management procedures. Tests and installs parameter/profile changes. Installs and maintains software on Interface Engine platform in a timely manner. Designs and codes new interfaces as necessary and in a timely manner. Documents significant system changes.
Resolves system and customer problems in a time frame established by IT policy and procedure. Communicates effectively with end user and management. Documents all communications, troubleshooting and coordinates with IT staff eClinical Project manager to respond to customer needs. Documents information pertaining to service calls in the service request software.
Actively participates in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Applies sound technical logic to assist end users to be more productive with e clinical system, while at the same time looking for ways to expand the use of the system throughout SMMG. Participates in end user meetings and demonstrates professionalism, respect and courtesy in all interactions.
Applies sound technical logic to develop ways to reduce ongoing operational costs and/or to minimize these costs.
Regularly updates knowledge of software applications and/or hardware relating to E clinical system to improve systems support.
Plans all work steps to ensure success. Considers time, supplies and support required from other individuals and departments in setting up work plans and completing duties.
Responds to all task or performance related questions patiently and thoroughly, providing context as well as direction.
Sets goals and objectives consistent with the organizations goals and develops effective actions plans for their achievement.
Assists others in developing job skills and enhancing performance. Provides ongoing eClinical training to end users and new staff regarding new installations, modifications, updates, and efficient use of the system.
Works with clinic management to produce special output or reports for the end users and works with the Project manager and technical staff as needed to identify and develop new reports.
Coordinates Registration, Scheduling and Billing functions across all eClinical users to support accuracy and correct billing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: 2 years formal education beyond High School required.
Experience: 2 years related clinical setting experience
License / Certification / Registration: None
Working Environment: Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with employees and the public at large.
