ECI, the nation´s premier, privately owned emergency staffing and management company for over 35 years, is currently seeking a Medical Director and full-time and part-time physicians to work at Marlboro Park Hospital, located in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
Marlboro Park Hospital is a 102-bed facility that has more than 315,000 residents located within a 30 mile radius. There are over 20 active physicians on the Medical Staff with specialties ranging from Diagnostic Radiology to OB/Gyn to Cardiology and Surgery. The hospital also offers a vast array of radiology services, including mammography, nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI. The hospital has nearly 40,000 outpatient visits each year and performs more than 750 surgeries.
The Emergency Department at Marlboro Park Hospital features nine beds, two of which are designated for trauma. The ED treats more than 14,000 patients each year. Patients in critical condition are generally transferred to Carolina´s Hospital System, which is located in Florence, South Carolina. Physicians provide 24 hours of coverage with shifts in 12-hour blocks.
Bennettsville, the county seat of Marlboro County, has a population of 10,000 residents. Located in northeastern South Carolina, the area is one of the richest agricultural centers in the state of South Carolina. Part of the South Carolina Cotton Trail, Bennettsville hosts many large historic homes and farms. Residents of Bennettsville enjoy fishing, swimming and boating on Lake Paul Wallace. This 600-acre lake also has a three-mile trail running along its eastern shore. While it is a small town, Bennettsville offers numerous arts and cultural events. The Marlboro Arts Council has been bringing an eclectic variety of year-round performances to the area for more than 40 years.
Physicians must have previous Emergency Medicine experience.
