Swedish Physician Division, a division of Swedish Medical Center, the largest non-profit healthcare provider in the Northwest, is actively seeking an Executive Director. The Physician Division is comprised of 1,000 employees, 14 primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care clinics.
The Executive Director is responsible for all activities and performance of the Division including: operations, process improvement, conflict resolution and change management. Swedish is in the process of an ambitious growth plan, while simultaneously maintaining its current market position. Realizing this expansion requires an experienced candidate with a strong vision and unparalleled management ability.
The Executive Director is responsible for the Central Business Office and all ancillary support departments that serve the division and its customers. Key duties include:
Identify opportunities to improve the delivery of patient care and maximize profitability of clinics
Initiating programs to improve efficiency and operations of clinics and the business office
Managing and facilitate acquisitions
Maintaining and foster the Swedish Physicians Division culture
Consult with senior managers for result driven outcomes
Manage special projects and develop business plans pertaining to the division
Serve as the liaison and resource to all employed physicians and physician groups
Define compensation models and strategies for market competitive programs
Serve as connection between clinics and any other areas of SPD
Assist all departments to meet or exceed their performance targets
Oversee the strategic planning, annual goals and budgets of SPD
Transition new clinics and programs into the Swedish system
Demonstrate competency with all position related software programs
Consistent use of AIDET system for excellent service
An ideal candidate will possess a BA/BS in a related field required masters degree preferred. Implementation and management experience in a large, multi-site organization and a minimum of eight years of health care operations experience, including ambulatory and primary care clinics.
