Located in a small community in Georgia, with easy access to both Savannah and Macon, an interventional cardiologist who has peripheral vascular interventional skills is needed. She/he would have the option to either join another interventional cardiologist and become a partner in a relatively short period of time, or to be employed by the medical center. Their financial package is extraordinarily lucrative: $500,000 guarantee plus $150,000 sign-on bonus with $800,000 earning potential in a relatively short period of time!
If she/he opted to join the interventional cardiologist in his private practice, then there is opportunity to become partner within a relatively short period of time. If the new interventional cardiologist wants to be employed by the medical center, the extraordinarily lucrative earnings are identical to the partnership option.
Cardiologists completing their interventional fellowship and those already in practice will both be strongly considered.
The current interventionist is doing about 190 interventional procedures, 300 diagnostic caths, and many more procedures.
The new cardiologist will be able to do a respectable volume of PTCA.
Peripheral Vascular Angioplasty skills are required because this area has a significant amount of vascular and coronary artery disease. Their current endovascular program is growing fast with the potential to expand.
However, if the new interventional cardiologist is trained and wants to do carotid interventions, she/he would need to travel to Savannah to perform them.
The call schedule would be 1:3 because it is shared with another solo interventional cardiologist in town.
For several years, their medical center was ranked among the top United States 100 hospitals! It has also won desirable quality and employee/patient satisfaction awards. It has one cath lab. Their current operating equipment includes Seimen´s Angiostar Cardiac/DSA digital C-arm, a dedicated nuclear Seimen´s C-cam, a Toshiba 64 slice CTA, electrocardiograms (EKG), exercise and stress testing, and 24 hour heart monitoring. New cath lab equipment will be purchased when they move to their new hospital which is currently under construction. The new hospital is scheduled to be completed in July of 2010.
This area has very little Managed Care and high in private insurance pay.
