Description: TITLE: HOME SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

LOCATION: KENORA, ON

STATUS: FULL TIME

DETAILS OF POSITION

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent is accountable for:

Providing guidance, coaching and development opportunities for client service coordinators and field employees (e.g. monthly in-services)
Providing visits to clients to assist in and evaluate care being provided
Participating in the implementation of care plans and monitoring changes in the treatment of the client´s condition
Providing information to the Case Manager (for Community Care Access Centres) regarding any changes in treatment, client condition, complaints, changes, ´´not found´´ visits, and ensure the direction from Case Managers is implemented
Conducting employee performance appraisals as per company policy
Participating in the recruitment and training of field staff
Taking referrals regarding clients and provide information to clients regarding services, policies and procedures
Seeks opportunities to expand private business
On-call responsibilities
Comcare Health Services requires all staff to work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Management staff are accountable for the reporting, investigation, and appropriate follow-up of workplace related injuries/illnesses.

Qualifications: RN or RPN, current certificate of competence is required
Possesses a thorough understanding of Standards of Practice as established by the College of Nurses of Ontario
Possesses thorough knowledge of the criteria and policies of the contract with the Community Care Access Centres
Excellent oral and written communication skills is preferred
Proven ability to work effectively as part of our team is an asset
