Job Description: Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Performs a variety of experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of one or more lab research projects in an area of research. Assists in general laboratory maintenance. Understanding of general research objectives. Aptitude to perform routine experimental protocols and procedures. Ability to understand and comply with safety standards and regulations. Understanding of specific research objectives in area of research specialization. Knowledge of current experimental developments by reading current scientific literature. Complete routine tasks on a day-to-day basis. Familiar with overall lab organization. Complies with safety standards and procedures. Knowledge of specialized equipment and material. Knowledge of routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to support the activity of one or more research labs. Will perform basic bench work under close supervision. Data entry. Perform other duties as required.

Educational Requirements:
BS in Biological Sciences, strongly preferred.

Experience:
1-2 years experience working in laboratory acquired in college or equivalent.

Physical Demands:
Laboratory environment. Sitting, standing, walking.
