Job Description: Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for the successful operation of the Radiation Oncology Department from both the academic and clinical aspects. Assures strong collaboration with the overall cancer program and contributes to the mission of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Oversees continuity of cancer-related care and integrates activities with Radiation Oncology providers and other hospital departments. Performs duties in support of, and in compliance with licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Oversees the physician billing and research finances. Supervises a wide range of staff from technologists, nurses, clerical support and other critical staff in the Radiation Oncology Department.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience as an Administrator of a major Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology Department, or Imaging Department.
Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business, Public Health or other related field required.
Education and Work Experience Preferences:
Graduate of an approved School of Radiation Therapy and be ARRT registered is highly preferred.
Experience as a Radiation Therapist for at least 3 years is highly preferred.
