Manager, Sterile Processing Department
We are currently seeking an experienced manager to manage, integrate and coordinate the activities of all decontamination, assembly and sterilization of reusable instrumentation and accessories intended for use in the Operating Rooms and other user units within the medical center. Oversees the coordination of all sterile processing functions with the Operating rooms supply chain.
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in nursing, an allied health field or business administration is preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years in large hospital or Healthcare system with progressive management responsibilities required. Certification in Central Processing, or as Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Manager (CSPDM) or Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) is required. Current management or supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge of asepsis and sterilization, surgical techniques, instrumentation and equipment, and inventory control. Experience as an educator and resource in the area of sterilization technology.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated skills in process improvements in all areas affected by the processing and sterilization performed by SPD. The ability to create and maintain collaborative relationships with others of the hospital team.
