We treat children, adolescents, adults and senior adults for emotional problems, mental illness, and behavioral health issues. A team oriented yet autonomous position with access to the manager and/or supervisor when needed; tasks include both routine and variable; environment is frequently fast paced with high pressure. Ensures receipt of all medical records using quality control tool. Assembles all records accurately and efficiently. Identifies all physician deficiencies. Enters deficient data in tracking system. Prints a deficiency sheet for each record and files sheet in the medical record. Files incomplete medical record in the respective location for further review. Prints deficiency and other reports as needed. Assist with the notification of deficiency mailings and reports. Assist with reanalysis as needed. Assist with the release and return of the records through tracking mechanism (i.e. SMS, Meditech, etc.) as needed. Assist with all other functions as needed as it related to the management of health information.

Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications include:

High school graduate or GED required
Minimum of 1 year hospital based medical records analysis and chart assembly experience required
Completion of accredited health information program preferred
Terminal digital filing, medical terminology, computer literacy and keyboarding skills highly preferred
Customer service skills, including telephone communication required
RHIT license preferred, but not required
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
