We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator who will perform activities related to medical staff credentialing, including initial applications, reappointments, allied health professionals, temporary privileges, locum tenens and residents. In addition, the Coordinator will provide clerical and technical support to the Medical Staff Directors in meeting preparation and follow-up.
Qualified candidates must possess:
-High school diploma
-A minimum of three years related experience (medical records, billing, risk management and/or quality care) in an acute care hospital or physician
-Provider Credentialing Specialist Certification is preferred
-Previous secretarial experience in an acute care hospital is preferred
-Excellent interpersonal, communication and clerical skills
-Ability to compose minutes and well written correspondence
-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, database systems and the Internet
