Overlake Hospital Medical Center, a 337 bed, nonprofit regional medical center located in Bellevue, Washington (on Lake Washington, just outside of Seattle) Center is seeking a Manager of Surgical Processing to join our leadership team.
Our Sterile Processing Department supports 15 surgical suites, averaging 1200 1400 surgeries a month with services in General Surgery, Orthopedics, CV, Hearts, Neuro, Total Joint, Urology, GYN, Plastics, Eye, ENT and Bariatric, for which we received the Center of Excellence award.
Reporting directly to the Director of Surgical Services, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and activities of the Surgical Processing in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards as it relates to reprocessing, decontamination, sterile preparation, storage and distribution of all instruments, trays, sets and medical/surgical supplies.
Responsible for:
- Daily operations and activities of the Surgical Processing Department in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.
- Coordinate planning, developing, implementing, coaching, and evaluating the daily activities of the department.
- Promote professional development of all staff, both on an individual and team level.
- Allocating human, material and fiscal resources effectively and efficiently
- Facilitating education to advance the knowledge, skills and professionalism of the staff.

Requirements:
- Prefer a BA/BS, Business or related healthcare field.
- Masters degree a plus
- Advance knowledge of sterilization practices, instrumentation, decontamination processes, medical/surgical supplies and patient related equipment.
- Five years experience within the intraoperative arena or equivalent experience including three years in management position.
- Must attain and maintain CRCST registration registration within first year of employment.
- Requires demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in health care or business essential.
