ECI, the nations premier, privately owned emergency staffing and management company for over 35 years, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Medical Director and full or part-time attending physician positions in the Emergency Department at Clinch Valley Medical Center, located in Richlands, Virginia.
Clinch Valley Medical Center is a 175-bed, full-service, acute care hospital that has been providing superior care to residents of Tazwell County since 1938. The 2003 Americas Top Hospitals issue of Money Magazine identified Clinch Valley Medical Center as one of the top 25 hospitals in the country for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
The Emergency Department provides care to over 16,000 patients annually. The 12-bed, U-shaped department is designed around a central nursing station which allows for easy patient monitoring. Radiology and Laboratory are located adjacent to the Emergency Department and offer services 24 hours daily. Physicians provide single coverage with additional double coverage during peak times.
Located just miles from the scenic hiking trails of the Appalachian Mountains, Richlands, Virginia, offers stunning natural beauty and easy access to big-city amenities. Tazewell County has been named one of the 20 Last Great Places to Live by the Nature Conservancy. It offers rolling meadows, clear rivers and breathtaking mountain views. Residents of Richlands are a short commute from many metropolitan areas, including, Knoxville, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and Richmond.
Candidates must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a Primary Care specialty.
All physicians are partners with Emergency Physicians of Southern Virginia, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. An excellent compensation package is offered to part-time and full-time physicians. Health, optical and dental insurance is provided to full-time physicians at no cost. Physician partners who work regular part-time hours are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. All physician partners have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting as well as life and disability insurance at group rates. Malpractice insurance on an occurrence basis is provided.
