ECI, the nations premier, privately owned emergency staffing and management company for over 35 years, is currently seeking qualified candidates for full or part-time attending physician positions in the Emergency Departments at Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital.
Founded in 1927 and 1938 respectively, Kent General Hospital and Milford Memorial Hospital merged in January 1997 to form Bayhealth Medical Center a not-for-profit healthcare organization. This is the second largest healthcare system in the state of Delaware.
Kent General Hospital is a 231-bed, Level III trauma center with a service population of approximately 100,000 residents. The Emergency Department is fully equipped and has 21 beds with a 5-bed Fast Track. This includes a large 4-bed trauma room, OB/Gyn, cardiac, orthopedic, ENT and pediatrics.
Dover is located in central Delaware in Kent County. It is located a short drive from Atlantic beach resorts and 90 miles from Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. This charming community has an estimated population of 34,000. It was voted the 25th best place to live in America by the 2004 issue of Cities Ranked and Rated. From coastal scenery towns to beautiful farmland, central Delaware offers an incomparable lifestyle.
Milford Memorial Hospital is a 168-bed, Level III facility with a service population of approximately 80,000 residents and approximately 22,000 patients being seen annually in the Emergency Department. The Emergency Department is fully equipped and has 11 beds. There are two trauma/cardiac rooms, orthopedic, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatric and ENT rooms. The department has established a fast track area, which has five beds.

It is centrally located in the state of Delaware and lies at the intersection of two major north-south arteries, U.S. 113 and Delaware Route 1. It is also 50 miles from Wilmington and 20 miles from Rehoboth Beach, Delawares #1 resort town. Candidates must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
All physicians are partners with DelMarVa Emergency Physicians, LLP, a registered limited liability partnership. An excellent compensation package is offered to part-time and full-time physicians. Health, optical and dental insurance is provided to full-time physicians at no cost. Physician partners who work regular part-time hours are eligible for health, optical, and dental insurance at group rates. All physician partners have the option to participate in a 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting as well as life and disability insurance at group rates. Malpractice insurance on an occurrence basis is provided.
