Operations Transition Leader, NOVA

PURPOSE: To lead a transition staff in providing clinical knowledge, expertise, and overall oversight for ensuring seamless, efficient planning, and construction of new Medical Office Buildings & Super Hubs. This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente’s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente´s policies and procedures. In addition, Regional leaders are accountable for communication, implementation, enforcement, monitoring and oversight of compliance policies and practices in their departments. ´In addition to defined technical requirements, you will be accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles defined by the Kaiser Permanente Service Quality Credo, the KP Promise, and specific departmental/organizational initiatives. You also will be accountable to consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors.´

ACCOUNTABILITIES: (List of 4 - 6 primary responsibilities, not activities, in their order of importance)
1. Represents and leads health plan clinical operations on Super Hub Transition Team to ensure the successful implementation of the strategy and the development of planning and process design for the consistent, efficient opening of all new and replacement medical office buildings.
2. Partners with Medical Group Super Hub Lead to develop space plans and department layouts for all clinical operations, with appropriate input from Service Line Directors and Chiefs of Service or other experts as needed.
3. Leads Super Hub transition team with transition, building activation, building occupancy and operational start up.
4. Has accountability for building, establishing and managing the start up budget for all non payroll and payroll expenses.
5. Coordinates and leads all planning activities with regional departments, i.e. marketing, community benefit, etc.
6. Represents the Super hubs on the Hub Coordinating Group and provides regular updates to the JET(Joint Executive Team).
7. Leads the facility-wide post-occupancy evaluation.
8. Provides transition planning guidance to operations managers and leaders.
9. Supports operational leaders during Super Hub opening and first weeks of operation.
10. Works with facilities department and local administration to plan current and long term strategic plans for space needs for applicable areas including and construction requirements.
11. Works with Contracting, Network Management and National Facilities staff to negotiate existing and future contracts, as appropriate.
12. Develops and monitors control systems to ensure regional compliance with regulatory bodies´ standards. Directs oversight for overall compliance to policies and procedures through an advanced total quality assurance/quality control program.
13. Provides managers and supervisors direction; coaching in leadership skills, knowledge of KP business practices, political sensitivities, and labor-partnership principles. Trains and coaches potential leadership to support a succession plan.
14. Consults and coordinates with medical office teams and department leaders on local issues and general operating practices related to accountable regional departments. Effectively communicates strategic customer service goals and objectives and obtains buy-in from customers to execute services that meet their needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Relevant Years of Experience:- Ten years of experience as a line manager in a health care delivery organization required.- One year of previous experience in a managed care setting required.- One year of previous experience with facility planning required.
Education and/or Classes:- Bachelor´s Degree in health care administration, nursing administration, business administration, or public health (preferred) or equivalent years (additional four years) of experience required.
License, Certification and/or Designation: - RN preferred
