Duke University Health System, a progressive facility located in the heart of North Carolina, currently has full-time positions available for Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor located in Durham.
Supervise and coordinate ophthalmic medical support staff and ophthalmic clinic service activities to achieve continuous and optimal patient care within the Eye Center and its satellite offices. Provide daily supervision of the medical support staff within the Eye Center and its satellite offices.
Requirements:
Must be certified as an Ophthalmic Technician.
Education: Work requires a minimum of 4 years of ophthalmology clinic experience related technical support, including diverse knowledge of patient care and eye problems and extensive knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy, physiology, and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an ophthalmic clinic setting is required. Certification by JCAHPO: at the COT or COMT level.
Experience:
