There are three elementary schools, a middle school, a high school and an alternative high school. A four year college is also in the county. Amtrak offers daily passenger service to more metropolitan areas east and west. There is also another rail line that offers overnight to Chicago and Seattle.
The housing market in Montana has not felt the crunch that other states have felt and there are affordable homes with comfortable living in this county of Montana. The area is safe and secure and the people are friendly. You can practice medicine and be home in five minutes.
The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with 160 beds serving a five county area with a comprehensive range of healthcare services. Their service area is 36,000. Most of the areas physicians are members of a multi-specialty group with offices on the hospitals campus and in the medical complex. They are community owned and are making money.
The current Orthopaedic Surgeon wants to slow down and there´s too much work for a part-time physician. The Orthopaedic Surgeon will build his own practice. They are looking for one who must be good at scopes, total joints and will need to do some sports medicine. Offering $400,000 for two years then go on production performance and if you make more then go on production performance earlier. Call is 1:3 with part timers helping with call. The hospital has a magnificent Imaging Department and will consider any request for equipment you need if they don´t have it.
Must be Board Certified in the United States and must have done residency in the U.S. May be Board Eligible if within five years of residency. Will consider J1 and H1B visa holders meeting those requirements.
