PACS NETWORK ENGINEER

Maintains the operating system and utility software on computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems by analyzing, designing, programming, installing, testing and documenting new operating system program utilities and hardware to ensure production machines are available and computer systems development can be performed. Provides Third Line escalation support of issues per predefined escalation guidelines. Mentors First and Second Line Support staff.
Education required: AA degree in IS related field; demonstrated commitment to continuing professional and technical certification and training; or a combination of education and directly related work experience. MCSE Certificate required. Must complete and pass Customer Service Training program which is provided by the department.
Experience required: Four (4) years in Information Systems operations, experience in a healthcare facility a plus. Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems) required. Sectra PACS preferred.
