Goppert-Trinity Family Care located on the Brookside Campus of Research Medical Center, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Patient Services Representative.
Under the general direction of Goppert-Trinity Family Clinics Front Office Supervisor, the patient service representative is responsible for assisting patients seeking entrance to GTFC by phone or in person. Those responsible include registration, check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, switchboard, charge and payment entry, coding and special projects. The position requires compassion, tact, and persuasion in meeting patients and their familys need while accomplishing the objectives of CTFC. Abides by defined policies and procedures of Goppert - Trinity Family Clinic.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required. A minimum of two years experience in a medical business office scheduling or registration area. Familiarity with computerized billing system or software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; positive interpersonal communicator. Knowledgeable of ICD-9 and CPT coding. Basic knowledge of third party payer system to include HMOs, PPOs and government insurance programs. Excellent telephone skills, must be flexible and able to handle multiple tasks. Ability to work efficiently in high stress fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
