Pediatric Otolaryngologist needed to join busy Florida practice
The Otolaryngology Division of the Nemours Children´s Clinic - Pensacola is seeking to hire a new team member. Call volume is light, and there is full time Audiology, PA, and RN support in the department. Our division has an Academic affiliation with Florida State University College of Medicine, and research opportunities exist for interested applicants.
Physician candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology.
Our physicians practice in a State designated Pediatric Trauma Center at Sacred Heart Hospital, one of the few in Florida. We are dedicated to providing high quality pediatric tertiary care to our wide service area. Our physicians have 100% pediatric practices.

The Nemours Children´s Clinic is one integrated multispecialty group practice with locations in four states, seeing patients from across the U.S. and the world.
In Pensacola, the Nemours Children´s Clinic partners with Sacred Heart Children´s Hospital and offers primary care physicians and families a much-needed resource for children with complicated health issues. Through its 12 pediatric divisions, Nemours is the primary provider of pediatric specialty services in the more rural areas of northwest Florida and south Alabama. A satellite clinic extends our care to Destin. Physicians practice a coordinated team approach by using a sophisticated electronic medical record (EMR). Eight Nemours specialists from Pensacola were recently named among the Best Doctors in America® 2007-2008.

Improving critical care
Pensacola´s Critical Care Division led an effort to improve care and outcomes through the implementation of new software for the pediatric intensive care unit at Sacred Heart Children´s Hospital. The division began using a national database to compare patient care outcomes to national benchmarks.
Advancing diabetes education
Our Endocrinology specialty obtained American Diabetes Association recognition for their pediatric Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program.
Pioneering cardiac care
Our Cardiology division was granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). The Nemours lab is one of the first 1,000 echocardiography labs in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico to be recognized for its commitment to high-quality patient care and is one of only 6 accredited pediatric and fetal echo labs in the state of Florida.
Helping more children with cancer
With assistance from Nemours physicians, there is now a Hematology / Oncology Pediatric Unit specially dedicated to children with cancer. The Thomas Jenkins Pediatric Oncology Unit, located at Sacred Heart Children´s Hospital, is named after Dr. Jenkins, a Nemours Hematologist / Oncologist.
