Nemours is seeking a Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Coordinator for Performance Improvement/Data Management to join our team in Delaware.

This position coordinates and participates in the collection, entry, and management of data from and into systems that support performance improvement and patient safety activities of the Hospital and the Practice. Coordinates the collection of quality/safety related data for peer review and the medical staff reappointment process. Supports all aspects of data management needed to produce reports from which opportunities for quality/safety improvement, intervention and educational activities can be identified. Works with Hospital and Medical staff at all levels of the organization to design and implement data collection methodologies, databases, action plans, and reporting strategies.
Specializes in the functionality of the Quality Module within the MIDAS+ system. Coordinates with the MIDAS + System Manager on utilization and maintenance of the Quality module. Functions as the liaison and coordinator of report requests from the Quality Module in MIDAS. Provides assistance to others, as needed, to generate reports from the System. Supports the Department by generating or routing requests for reports/data from other Nemours databases such as the Data Warehouse.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidate must be a RN or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Must have Bachelor´s degree in health related field (Master´s preferred). Minimum of five (5) years experience in healthcare with demonstrated ability to analyze and trend data sets, use an Electronic Medical Record, use a Midas + System TM and use Crystal Reporting Software TM preferred.
