Located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, this facility is in the city of some of the most popular Outlet Malls in Texas. We are also the home of Texas State University and one of the largest natural springs in Texas. Centrally located to several water parks, outdoor malls, theaters, along the Guadalupe River that provides a venue for many water sports.
On September 4, 2008,(expected opening November 2009) this facility broke ground on a $35 Million expansion project that will include a 2-story 64,000 square foot addition for a total of 139 private beds. The expansion will create a new Surgery Suite with 6 operating rooms and 36 Medical/Surgical Cardiac-Monitored beds. Another exciting component of the plan is a Women´s Center that will feature 20 Obstetrical Rooms, 2 Ante-Partum Rooms, a Cesarean-Section Operating Suite, a High-Risk Delivery Suite, a Neonatal Critical Care Unit and 7 Labor/Delivery and Recovery Rooms.(with room to grow) Due to this major expansion, we need nurses for our L&D, Postpartum, NICU and Nursery.
Qualifications:
**2+years Postpartum experience
**Mother/Baby/Couplet Care experience
**ACLS certification (or within 3 months of hire)
**NRP certification (or within 3 months of hire)
**RN License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain one
**Nursery experience a plus
**Great patient satisfaction skills
**Computer experience with healthcare software desirable
