DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy Resource Network
SCHEDULE: Full-time, regular; 40hrs/week;
SHIFT: Variable; Sunday through Saturday. Variable shift,may include working weekends, evenings, and nights.
EDUCATION: Degree in Pharmacy required. Relevant Master´s degree or equivalentrelevant experience (usually 2 years ) preferred. Licensed to practice pharmacy by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the coordination and delivery of inpatient and home healthpharmaceutical care services in areas of key operational importance by assisting the DivisionService, Quality & Productivity Leader with the development and implementation of Division-widepharmacy strategic initiatives which improve patient care and enhance quality , member service andcost-effectiveness. Supports leadership in the definition and attainment of organizational /strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS: Previous team/project leadership experience ( typically five or more years ) anddemonstrated record of success in management and professional leadership in large scale, inpatientand home health pharmacy environment required Demonstrated ability to determine the key businessissues and develop appropriate action plans from multidisciplinary perspectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead professionals through the use of influencing and collaboration skillsacross multiple practice settings. Demonstrated proficiency in team building, conflict resolution,consulting , group interaction, project management, and budget management.
Demonstrated ability to define the strategy of and provide overall direction to a specified practicearea. Demonstrated ability to utilize complex analytic, problem solving, project management, changemanagement, and group process skills. Understanding of KP operations and competitors, and economic,social, and legal environment. Ability to demonstrate and apply knowledge of pharmacy and relatedmedical, nursing, and other health care laws and regulations, and applicable accreditation andlicensure standards.Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

DUTIES: Leads multiple , complex large-scale improvement efforts designed to facilitate attainment of keyorganizational objectives. Seeks out, promotes and facilitates innovations in service, work methods,and operations which improve pharmaceutical care services, quality and productivity. Providesleadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation of programsrelated to practice areas. Leads the setting of the overall direction of the practice area toaddress key organizational issues. Staffs project teams to ensure that teams are composed ofindividuals with appropriate skills and expertise. Ensures that organizational needs are metconsistently. Collaborates with other administrative and professional Leaders and managers toprovide support to Divisional and Service Area operations in the pursuit and attainment of organizational goals. Support will include setting priorities for strategically focused areas,identifying opportunities for improvement, and advising onspecific areas of expertise. Provides leadership in the development and dissemination of bestpractices across Divisional and Service Area departments. Establishes effective workingrelationships with peers both internal and external to Kaiser Permanente. Supports DivisionalLeaders in the specification, collection, analysis and reporting of data related to quality of care,member service, and operational effectiveness. Develops and initiates new reports as required.Identifies opportunities for improvement and initiates, facilitates and coordinates focused effortsfor improvement. Fosters a collaborative work environment with emphasis on dedication to helpingothers, respect for individuals, highest standards of quality, innovation, empowerment, and teamworkby developing and implementing policies and practices that reflect the vision of Kaiser Permanente.Supervises and develops staff.
