Job Description: Cedars-Sinai Health System, GI Endoscopy Unit has an opening for a Nurse.
The Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse III, as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Clinical Nurse III consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes her/his knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. She/he demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst changes within Nursing at the unit, service line and institutional levels. The Clinical Nurse III provides nursing care consistent with Nursing Standards of Care/Practice, the plan for Provision of Care to patients, CSMC Code of conduct, the Performance Improvement Plan, the Patient Education Plan and Professional Organization Standards. She/he maintains competency skills including the ability to provide care to as special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. He/she can identify the ability of patients to follow directions/instructions and give consent. He/she can identify safety concerns and institute measures to provide a safe environment; and provide appropriate assessment, intervention and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones.
Education and Work Experience Preferences: Educational Requirements:
A valid California Registered Nurse License.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
A valid BCLS, ACLS and PALS.
Experience:
Meets clinical criteria and protocol for Clinical Nurse III (minimum 18 months NP/RN experience).
Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area.
Physical Demands:
The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Must be able to perform assigned duties in a demanding work environment.
