Members of this float pool work on Labor & Delivery Units at Intermountain Medical Center, Alta View Hospital, LDS Hospital, and Riverton Hospital.
This position is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care on the patient unit to which assigned. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards.
Must have a current license as a Registered Nurse which allows you to practice in the state of Utah
Must have a current CPR (Healthcare Provider) card; prefer ACLS
Minimum 1 year RN experience in a Labor and Delivery department is required.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to transfer and position patients independently and safely.
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts.
Must be available to work at LDS, Alta View, Intermountain Medical Center, TOSH and Riverton Hospital as assigned.
Must be available for a minimum of 12 hours per pay period in the float pool regardless of other Intermountain positions. This may include both worked and hospital cancelled hours.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Weekends include Friday shifts starting at or after 1500 and continuing through shifts starting at or before 1500 on Sunday. Monthly weekend requirements are based on average hours worked for that month. One Winter, Summer, and ´other´ Holidays are required.
Flexible self scheduled 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts
Must have access to and bi-weekly use of e-mail. All department communication and schedule submissions are done via Outlook e-mail.
