Registered Nurses will gain experience in coordination and delivery of care to diverse patient populations encompassing orthopedics, general medicine and general surgery. Orthopedic specialties include multi-system trauma, a comprehensive total joint center, spine and sports medicine. This position is accountable for provision of therapeutically effective care delivered in compliance with hospital, community and national standards.


 


RNs work closely with a full-scale unit-based interdisciplinary team. This work area places major emphasis on promoting optimum function, service excellence, patient satisfaction, team work and staff development. In conjunction with our management team and your assigned coach, you will be guided through your customized orientation to support your successful transition into the RN role.


 


 



  • UT RN licensure (or license eligible) required.

  • BLS (health care provider) CPR certification required..

  • Must be flexible to work rotating shifts and weekends, on-call (as needed).

  • One year RN experience or participation in Urban Central Region New Grad Residency Program required.

  • One year orthopedic and med/surg experience is helpful but not required.

  • Candidates must be committed to providing superior patient service and care delivery in a progressive team environment.

  • Communication skills are essential.

  • Applicant must have the ability to transfer and position patients safely.

  • This is a night shift position.
