Responsible and accountable for the teaching, assessment, safety and monitoring of chronic and acute hemodialysis patients as well as providing support and education to the patients family. Functions as an intricate member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Essential Job Qualifications:
Education: Minimum 2 yr. College degree; preferred 4 yr. College degree
Experience: Minimum 1 yr. Acute care experience; preferred 1 yr. Hemodialysis experience
Training/License: NYS Registered Professional Nurse; BLS and ACLS Certifications
Other: Nephrology nursing certification, med/surg nursing certification
