Detailed Position Description
-Responsible for caring for a variety of patients in their homes.
-The nurse demonstrates clinical competency and evidence of critical thinking, and provides case management and/or infusion care for specific group of patients.
-Provides safe, efficient nursing care to patients using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain and sustain optimal health status.
-Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
-Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
-Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
-Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
Position Requirements
-Home Care experience and IV skills preferred.
-Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
-Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
-Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
-Valid Ohio drivers license and car insurance required.
Education Requirements
-Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
License/Certification Requirements
-Registered Nurse with valid Ohio licensure
-CPR certification within one (1) month of hire
