The Solution Architect is responsible to provide leadership and staff mentorship for the Solutions team. Provides business knowledge and expertise in processes, solutions, integration, data migration, and custom development. Acts as a visionary and strategist related to solution area. Leads envisioning, architecture, and design discussions to address business needs. Works in conjunction with and as a member of the Enterprise Solutions Architecture team to refine and enhance our solution identification practice. Creates and contributes to the development of strategies, policies, and best practices. Designs, develops, and articulates solutions based on customers strategic business or technical requirements. Leads the design with responsibility for the delivery of the overall solution including but not limited to technical architecture designs, business strategies, and quality assurance plans that will be delivered. Works closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work. Performs other duties as needed.

Job Specifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required. Masters Degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of meeting intensive healthcare business needs. Strong organization, analytical, and problem solving skills. Strong documentation skills, including experience writing statements of work. Possess experience with strategic planning and ability to work with/present to Senior/Executive Management. Strong project management, customer service, and conflict resolution skills. Possession of broad understanding of company business issues and their integration with broad and complex information systems applications. Effective communication skills, leadership skills, presentation skills, problem-solving skills, project management skills, teaming skills and organizational skills. Self-motivated, self-supervised and solution driven Healthcare industry background experience across the continuum of care in an integrated delivery system model required. Healthcare industry background experience across the continuum of care in an integrated delivery system model in either Access and Administrative Systems, e.g. Materials Management, Financial Systems, H/R and Payroll or Provision of Care and Population Health Management solutions. Experience in diverse system and application design in large heterogeneous enterprise environments. Expert knowledge of the system requirements definition (RD) processes and modeling methods and tools. Expert knowledge of conceptual and logical modeling. Extensive logic and analytical ability for complex problem solving. Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization. Familiarity with the company information architecture and information management methodologies. Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components. Familiarity with organizational systems, business, and data processes. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality deliverables (documentation, presentations, research, etc.). Ability to analyze problems, process complex data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Good understanding of SOA, Application integration patterns, UML based modeling, and Agile development methodology. Strong process orientation in approach to solution development including the use of LEAN and Six Sigma process improvement techniques.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with business representatives and apply business expertise to ensure quality and accuracy in articulating the business needs into technical application requirements. Ability to work professionally with physicians, department managers, administration, and employees in a manner that generates mutual respect. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, create a positive environment in the leading and directing a spirit of collaboration.

Communication skills: Demonstrates excellence in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels. Ability to effectively communicate timelines and updated information to administrators, physicians, department managers, and employees in a clear and succinct manner.

Essential Mental Abilities: Interpret and create technical plans and operating instructions, schematic drawings, articles from professional and technical journals. Solve complex problems utilizing logic and analytical ability. Work conceptually with probability and statistical inference. Manage multiple activities at the same time. Must be able to read and interpret technical data, SOA, Application integration patterns, UML based modeling, and Agile development methodology. Able to write business plans and recommendations. Valid CA driver�s license required. May be called in during holidays, nights and emergencies.
