The Medical Center of Arlington (MCA) is the JCAHO-accredited full service, acute care hospital in South Arlington where you can expect something special.


Demonstrates critical thinking skills and decision-making ability in high-pressure situations.

Plan, implements, coordinates and assesses the healthcare facility safety program.

Develops and manages all safety aspects of the healthcare facility as well as outpatient centers including employee transportation, parking and security.

Periodically conducts building and property reviews to detect code violations, hazards, and improper work practices and procedures.

Assures compliance with policies of reporting service groups, strives to maintain and improve customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction.

Monitors and manages hospital wide functions of Emergency Preparedness, Hazardous Materials, OSHA compliance, Safety and Security Management.


Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in management in a healthcare environment and Public Safety or Institutional Safety with an emphasis on prevention.

Certified Safety Professional certification preferred.

Technical or Associates degree required.

Working knowledge of current laws and safety codes, including NFPA and JCAHO Environment of Care Standards is required.

Working Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness, Hazardous Materials, OSHA compliance, Safety and Security Management is required.

Capable Lifting more than 75 lbs. at any one time at any level.
