Virginia Commonwealth University seeks Oncologists interested in Translational Research
The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Palliative Care and the Massey Cancer Center of Virginia Commonwealth University seek physicians with interest in translational and clinical investigation. Massey, an NCI-designated cancer center located in the City of Richmond, is in the midst of a major expansion of its research and clinical programs. Massey conducts locally-initiated phase I research with NCI and/or industry support. Past and current initiatives have included chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, radiation therapy, and gene therapy. Other NCI affiliations include NSABP, CALGB, RTOG, and the Southeast Cancer Centers Phase II Consortium. Appropriate mentoring is available for junior faculty. Candidates should have a track record of investigation appropriate for their current level of employment or training. Candidates may seek to conduct both laboratory and clinical investigations or focus upon clinical investigation and conduct translational investigations in collaboration with established Massey laboratory-based investigators.
