Work in a small, acute, inpatient psychiatric treatment facility designed to treat adults in acute psychiatric status and who require treatment in a safe environment. The hospital provides an array of services, which include: Assessment of mental, social and physical health from multidisciplinary staff including physicians, advance practice registered nurses, nurses, psychologists, social workers and other rehabilitation therapists as appropriate. Active mental health treatment and programming including an introduction to the Illness Management and Recovery model of psychiatric care. This model is person centered and includes the family and community in the treatment planning and implementation. Duties: Diagnose and treat persons with mental illness and provide clinical direction and coordination of treatment to patients served at a CBHH and to serve as the on-site senior clinical person for the CBHH.Alexandria: At the forefront of greater Minnesota communities, Alexandria is strategically located in the heart of West Central Minnesota along the Interstate 94 transportation corridor. Alexandria is also a regional center for healthcare, providing a large multispecialty medial community.Qualifications: Minnesota license as a RN, certification with a national professional nursing organization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or as Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Persons wishing to express interest must have a valid drivers license and must have completed, or be able to pass/perform, the following: CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Intervention. Able to meet requirements to prescribe medications according to Minnesota Practice Act. Benefits: The states contribution toward your insurance, retirement, and Medicare and Social Security benefits is 30 percent of your salary. Not including the cost of vacation time, holidays, sick leave, and other benefits. Employees earn 11 paid holidays per year. Health insurance is free to employees who work 3/4 time or more. Nurses who work part-time and who work at least 50% of the time are eligible for health and dental insurance. We also are offering to pay relocation cost of up to $12,500. Tuition reimbursement and a chance to earn CEUs is available.
