Immediate Full Time & Part Time Openings for Emergency Medicine Physicians!
Mad River Community Hospital, a 78 bed acute care facility, is looking for experienced physicians to work in the emergency department. Physicians should have a minimum of two years of emergency department experience and be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. This 7 bed ED sees an estimated annual volume of 17K along with an admit rate of 10% and a transfer rate of 1.5%. Additional urgent care services provided through a 3 bed Express Care that is staffed with Mid-Level Providers 7 days a week. Back up includes 24/7 lab services, Cardiopulmonary Services (Respiratory Care Practitioner on site 24/7), OB, Ortho (*minimal- only 2 in town), General Surgery, IM, Peds (excellent & they help w/ transfers). Ultrasound is also available in the ED with 24/7 back up. Mad River Community Hospital is located in the city of Arcata, CA, in Humboldt County. Arcata is just a short 7 mile drive to Eureka, where one can find an abundance of shopping and fine dining, along with the local airport (both United and Horizon flights available).
