This diverse community is the heart of Southwestern Ontario and is sure to offer something to everyone.Reporting to the Program Director, Surgical Care, the Manager, Operating Room provides exemplary leadership to the Operating Room at University Hospital, which provides surgical care to over 9,000 patients annually. The Operating Room consists of 16 suites and is staffed on a 24/7 basis, providing surgical care for patient populations in Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Dentistry, Plastics and General Surgery with subspecialties in transplant and robotic surgery. The successful incumbent will apply their broad-based managerial and clinical knowledge to the responsibility of managing the human and financial resources; developing and monitoring the operating and capital equipment plans; implementing quality improvement initiatives; and developing both short-and long-term goals and plans. A major focus of the role is fostering effective working relationships and linkages within the Perioperative Care team, with other interdisciplinary teams and departments across the organization and with community partners.
