Dix *mega-base serving the U.S. military/familyPosition Summary: The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the management, administrative operations and clinical practice activities within one or more areas on a twenty-four hour basis. A priority of this position is for the NM to be the Chief Retention Officer for the area and utilize principles of service excellence to achieve goals for staff development, staff satisfaction and staff retention. The NM is also responsible for following the Values in Practice nine principles of service excellence for leadership and educating staff on the standards of service excellence. Provides for the delivery of care that is coordinated to provide a seamless, integrated system of care that is high quality, customer focused, and cost effective. The NM must have knowledge of specialty services and related nursing standards and be aware of the changing health care environment locally and nationwide.
