A board certified/eligible urologist is needed to join two urologists. This busy general Urology practice is based at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare’s main clinic and hospital facility in La Crosse, WI, and will include seeing patients at the new regional clinic in Onalaska, WI, located directly north of La Crosse. Expertise in current urologic procedures is expected with laparoscopic skills desirable. Referrals to the Urology Department come from physicians within our health system, as well as the La Crosse-Mayo Family Medicine Residency Program and independent physicians within 60 miles of La Crosse. In addition to the medical facilities in La Crosse, Franciscan Skemp has eleven Family Medicine offices in smaller communities within a 60-mile radius of La Crosse in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota & Iowa, with hospitals located at two of these sites. Providing Urology outreach services at regional sites will be part of the practice.The Medical Center in La Crosse has 250 beds, Emergency Medical & Trauma Center (Level III) with 24 hour ER physician staffing, cardiac cath lab and a 16-bed combined medical-surgical ICU/CCU. A Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (CAMS building) was completed in July 2004, which includes new high-tech OR suites, including a Cysto suite, new Day Surgery Unit and a comprehensive Cancer Center with chemotherapy and radiation oncology. Sophisticated diagnostic laboratory and radiology services are available.
