Southwest Medical Associates, the largest multi-specialty group in Nevada with over 200 providers and 14 offices, invites you to join our Urgent Care/Fast Care staff. Over 150,000 patients are treated each year in our four urgent cares, most of who are insured through Health Plan of Nevada, our sister company and largest HMO in Nevada. Our staff is comprised of physicians and mid-level providers who are comfortable with a higher level of acuity and who are skilled in a vast array of outpatient procedures. Our facilities are modern and well-equipped, with on-site laboratory testing and radiology, including CT and ultrasound, and are supported by an exceptional nursing staff. Our electronic medical records are state-of-the-art, with digital radiology and electronic prescriptions. The main 24-hour office is a high-acuity urgent care, with an attached observation unit and chest pain center. The practice encompasses nearly the full scope of medicine, with ample opportunity to hone procedural skills.The schedule is M-F 8am-5pm for a walk-in environment or four 9 hr days. You will see between 15-40 patients per day with non-acute complaints. Additional shifts, which are paid at a premium rate, are also available.
