Will provide primarialy Ultrasound Vascular Imaging as well as abdominal if credentialed but not required. Presents cases to radiologists and residents. Teach and assist in the crosstraining of to enchance the ultrasounds sections flexability. Must be computer orientated in PACS RIS, and RCO. Peforms as a resource person in vascular Ultrasound. Can perform al levels of vascular procedures. Assumes role of lead Sonographer when required. Also assists with schedules and provides input to peer performance elvaluations. Assists in equipment evaluations and department protocols. Liaison for vascular ultrasound interdepartmental procedures. Assist with teaching of students and medical radiology residents. Completion of and American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonongraphy (ARDMS) approved ultrasound program with vascular certification. VASCULAR BOARD CERTIFIED. Two years ultrasound experience perferred. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform procedures within the certification in an independent manner. Minimum CEU 30 biannually.

Registered by ARDMS in Pediatric Echocardiography, Fetal Echocardiography and Adult Echocardiography. 2. Minimum 5 years in pediatric and fetal imaging. 3. Ability to perform echocardiograms with guidelines set by St. Joseph’s Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography. 4. Ability to manage a busy Pediatric Echo Lab 5. Assists in the implementation of the immediate and long term goals of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory. 2. Responsible for echocardiography laboratory daily operations that include coordination of schedule and work flow. 3. Directly responsible for maintaining the proper functioning of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory’s physical plant and equipment. 4. Coordination of sonographer daily activities and facilitating a smooth work flow in accordance with set guidelines. 5. Coordination and participation, if necessary, in Outreach services. 6. Coordination and participation in Telemedicine services. 7. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director in preparing annual appraisals for sonographers and Echo Lab non-technical staff. 8. Responsible for resolution of human resources and human relation issues of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory technical and non-technical staff. Promotes professionalism in employee-employee and employee-patient relationship. 9. Acts as Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory liaison to enhance relationship with Medical Center administrative, medical, technical and clerical staff members. 10. Facilitates continuous quality improvement process within the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory and assists the lab Director in doing that function on an interdivisional basis. 11. Monitors and implements Echo Lab database information entry. 12. Responsible for assuring accuracy of in-patient, out-patient, and outreach echo billing. 13. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory Director in preparation and management of the Echo lab annual operational and capital budget. 14. Performs echocardiograms in accordance with set guidelines. 15. Facilitates implementation of imaging guidelines set as standard for the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory by the Director. 16. Facilitates consistency in imaging quality among other sonographers according to the set imaging guidelines. 17. Assists the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography laboratory Director and other authorized physicians in preparation of Echo Lab materials for clinical and educational conferences. 18. Participates in educational and research conferences involving echocardiography with the approval of the Echo Lab Director. 19. Additional staff includes a clinical monitoring technical and staff perfusion. The hours of operation for the department are from 6:30 am to 7pm. Available shifts vary depending on the need of the unit; participation in a call rotation covering evening and night hours as well as weekends shifts. The Case Management Department at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to its birth to adult in-patient population. By coordinating the delivery of healthcare and social services while balancing individually identified patient and family, medical and psychosocial needs with cost-effective and available resources members of the Case Management Team are dedicated to furthering the mission of the Hospital. Position is for a per diem nurse case manager to assist on weekend or weekdays to cover for full time staff absences or for high census acuity staffing. Primary job functions are utilization review and discharge planning, working together with the social workers for discharge services. The successful candidate must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and have superior problem solving skills are keys to success in the position. REQUIREMENTS: Educational Requirements: Associate Degree BSN Preferred Completion of RN program Experience Requirements: Four years progressively varied clinical and administrative experience. License/Registration/Certification: RN license BLS Certification PREFERRED SKILLS: Prior case management or utilization review experience, the ability to work in both adult and pediatric areas and they ability to use medical criteria applications such as internal or Milliman are strongly preferred.

Primary job responsiblities include utilization review activities, clinical documentation functions, and discharge planning. Clinical experience in both pediatric and adult areas preferred but not required.
