San Antonio, TX: Due to growth and expansion, an interventional cardiologist is needed to join a solo interventional cardiologist. General call will be 1:4 and interventional will be 1:2. There is opportunity to become a partner after only one year with $700,000-plus earning potential!The new interventional cardiologist can expect to do a respectable PTCA volume.There is also opportunity to perform Peripheral Vascular Angioplasty. However, this skill is not required but optional.Nuclear skills would also be a plus but not required. They plan to buy a nuclear camera in the near future and presently use the hospitals nuclear cameras.The interventional call will be 1:2 and the general call will be 1:4. It is shared with a practice with two cardiologists.The new interventional cardiologist will work at one office and admit/cover two full-service, top-notch hospitals. The office is very close to the hospitals. These facilities have active and successful open-heart surgery programs. The starting salary ranges from $400,000 to $425,000. There is also a productivity bonus. However, there is opportunity for partnership after only one year.
