You will assure that the nutritional needs of the individual patients are being met and that all documentation as it relates to patients nutritional status is complete and accurate. Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of pediatric nutrition and be able to educate parents and patients on a variety of subjects including healthy eating, high protein, high calorie diets, review of enteral feeds and oral intake and basic pediatric nutrition guidelines. Position requires Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and Licensed Dietitian status, if residing in a state with licensure. An extensive knowledge of diabetes and diabetic nutrition management required; knowledge of general endocrine disorders a preferred. The ability to educate families effectively on carbohydrate counting, diabetes management, weight loss and weight gains is required. Candidate must be able to work independently, have good communication skills to speak with patients and families as well as medical providers.
