The Technical Laboratory Director will be responsible for 50+ employees under 3 Managers specializing in automated lab and special chemistry, microbiology and anatomic pathology. A minimum of 10 years experience in a fast-paced automated lab is required with acute care hospital experience preferred. An advanced degree in biological sciences is required as well as a successful track record in process improvement, financial management and improvements to customer service. This may also be a good fit for a Clinical Pathology board-certified pathologist. The Laboratory Technical Manager will be responsible for automation and special testing (BioChem, Heme, Coag, UA, Serology, Flow, Molecular) with approximately 20 FTEs. Successful candidates will have a valid CA CLS license and a minimum of five years leadership experience in a hospital or reference laboratory environment as well as in-depth knowledge of regulatory bodies (JC, CAP, CLIA, ISO, CA DHS).Pacific Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC (PDL) is a non-profit clinical laboratory established in response to the local communitys need for a local, clinical laboratory. The upcoming year will be project focused including relocation into a new, state-of-the-art automated laboratory and transition to an enterprise-wide LIS.
