Large group in Southeast Virginia has openings for experienced PA in emergency medicine
Emergency physicians of tidewater (EPT), one of the largest democratic emergency medicine groups in the country is looking for qualified, motivated, experienced physician assistants (PA) to join our team.EPT is a busy practice of 76 board certified emergency physicians, 29 PA´s contracting out of 5 hospitals and 2 free standing ER facilities. We have an annual census of approximately 330,000 with a diverse population.We are currently seeking 1-2 full time positions. At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience is preferred. We have a variety of shifts most of which are 8 hours in length and include both fast track and main treatment area coverage. All PA´s are required to work their share of weekends, nights and holidays.Because EPT is a democratic group, our physicians give us the autonomy to govern ourselves. We have administrative PA´s, peer review and regular meetings. Each hospital has a core group and all PA are encouraged to participate in core group meetings and QA processes.Our compensation and benefits package is very competitive. We utilize the AAPA national census and our package is re-evaluated on a regular basis. Sign on bonus is available depending on experience. Virginia Beach has been rated one of the best cities in the country to raise a family. Other cities include Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Suffolk. The area has a large variety of outdoor activities, beaches, golf courses and recreational parks. We are a short drive to Washington D.C. and the Blue Ridge Mountains, 6-7 hour drive to New York city. There are two airports in the area traveling to multiple destinations.
