Pulmonary Physician/Scientist

The Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center invites applications for a Physician/Scientist faculty position. Applications will be considered from clinician-scientists at the Assistant/Associate Professor level who have completed an approved Fellowship program and are Board certified/eligible in Pulmonary Medicine (eligibility in Critical Care preferred but not essential). This position will have start up funding, space and support for appropriate candidates, and will have opportunities for participation in several active ongoing basic and translational research programs in pulmonary host responses to viral and non-viral pathogens, cystic fibrosis and airway biology, and lung cancer biology. Opportunities for interactions with members of the interdisciplinary Dartmouth Lung Biology Research Program, as well as appointments in one or more graduate research programs are also available. There is an additional opportunity for a combined appointment at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. Dartmouth is located in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire/Vermont. The Section of Cardiology at Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic is seeking a BE/BC general cardiologist with a strong interest in managing a busy outpatient and inpatient cardiology service. The ideal candidate would be eligible for an Assistant/Associate Professor level appointment to join a strong and growing cardiovascular program. A strong record of clinical accomplishment, scholarly activity, and teaching excellence is required as is passing the Cardiology Boards. The successful credentialed applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Program (including MR, CT and PET imaging), the vascular medicine program, clinical and translational research, outreach consultation, and education of housestaff and cardiac fellows. The DHMC Cardiology Program has more than 30 faculty members, 20 clinical and research fellows, 6 state-of-the-art digital cardiac catheterization/Electrophysiology labs which perform 3000 diagnostic,1500 interventional and 1000 EP procedures annually.
