The University of Utah Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking academic Gastroenterologists with a commitment to patient care, teaching, and research. Interests in inflammatory bowel diseases, colon cancer (genetics and high risk patients), general Gastroenterologists and Endoscopy are encouraged. The University of Utah is situated in Salt Lake City and is the major referral center for a five-state region. Members of the Division hold academic appointments at the U of U Medical Center, the Salt Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Huntsman Cancer Institute. Research strengths of the Division include: genetics/colon cancer, state of the art genomics applied to patient studies, hepatitis C and liver diseases, and therapeutic endoscopy. World class support in bioinformatics, genetics, and population databases are available at the University. In addition, a dedicated NIH funded Clinical Research Center supports clinical and endoscopic research projects.
