Department of Medicine seeking Administrative Manager
The Administrative Manager is responsible for the administrative operations of the Department of Medicine and its ten specialty division, including cardiology and hematology/oncology. Operations aspects include coordinating, facilitating, problem solving and making recommendations to the Physician-in-Chief, Division Chiefs, expense management, purchasing, communications, human resources, academic appointments, space, equipment and systems to improve productivity and maximize revenue. The Administrative Manager participates in strategic planning and new program development. This position supervisors the administration of the Department of Medicine.The manager will ensure staff competence and evaluate the effectiveness of the departmental processes and systems which support the operation of the hospital, patient care and staff performance. The Manager develops, implements and evaluates a departmental operations management plan, and is responsible for making the decisions necessary to ensure service to all customers and to support the delivery of high quality patient care.
