JOB DESCRIPTION: Physician Assistants in the surgical services cover a wide range of surgical specialties including: general surgery, thoracic surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urosurgery, plastics, colon-rectal surgery, and vascular surgery. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: * Graduate of an approved PA program. * ACLS & BLS required. * Board eligible or certified. * Licensed by the State of New York. * Maintains CME and licensing as required by New York State Department of Education. * Maintain Clinical Affiliate status with SJHHC. * Experience helpful, new graduates welcome. * Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. * Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service St. Josephs Hospital Health Center offers a competitive salary and generous benefit package which includes Tuition Repayment.
