The groups mid-level providers take primary call on most weekends with the physicians providing backup call. This position will partner with a dedicated and highly qualified medical staff including mid-level providers. ThedaCare Physicians - New London is comprised of seven primary care physicians. The practice is a full scope family medicine with five of the physicians doing obstetrics. Members of the group perform vasectomies, colposcopies, sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies, endometrial biopsies, cryo, leeps, joint injections, lesion removal, suturing and casting.

This new, 23,000 sq-ft, state-of-the art facility, is scheduled to open in December 2009.This position will partner with a dedicated and innovative medical staff including midlevel providers. This opportunity will allow the physician the chance to work in setting where growth and change are encouraged and expected. As part of ThedaCares new delivery model, providers will offer same-day appointments and a plan of care for the patient before they leave. In addition, patients will know their laboratory results during their visit!The practice will consist of primary care, pediatrics, physical therapy and diagnostic and lab services. Members of the group currently perform vasectomies, colposcopies, lumps and bumps, and joint injections. Other procedures are welcome!The group shares call with another family medicine group. Call will be 1:14 weekdays; 1:13 weekends. OB call is currently at 1:4.

ThedaCare, a Northeast Wisconsin integrated health system, seeks a BE/BC IM/hospitalist to join a 14-physician hospitalist medical staff at Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Hospital, both located in the Fox Valley of Wisconsin. These facilities have been recognized as Solucient Top 100 Hospitals and #1 Consumer Choice facilities by the National Research Corporation. Primary care physicians at Appleton Medical Center initiated the hospitalist program in 1998, providing a solid base of support by referring physicians. Since its inception, overall inpatient mortality rates have dropped 16 percent. Overall lengths of stay for the five most common ailments, including pneumonia, stroke, chest pain, and congestive heart failure, have dropped by 7.5 percent. The improved outcomes and shorter stays have resulted in a 9.6 percent drop in the average charge per patient. Hospitalists have played an integral part in quality improvement, including Collaborative Care. Hospital staff is studying all clinical and administrative processes to determine the content of each process, both in resources and steps. These improvement events are a week in length and involve employees from all levels of the organization. The hospitalist service has committed the involvement of their physicians, providing mini-sabbatical time to participate.Hospitalists provide double coverage during the day shift, supported by mid-level providers. This group practices full scope family medicine.ThedaCare, an integrated health system, located in Northeastern Wisconsin, seeks a BC/BE Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician to provide part-time weekend coverage at Riverside Medical Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital. A 12-hour shift is available from 7 pm on Saturday evening through 7 am on Sunday morning. This position is responsible for ER Admissions and general care to hospitalized patients, rounding on patients in the hospital, discharging patients, assisting with any surgeries and possibly fielding calls from area nursing homes. OB coverage will not be required. The average daily inpatient census is twelve (12).
